Åland Trip 2025

The club organizes and coordinates the trip to make it possible for as many members as possible to join. We have been to Åland many times before and will assist those who are new and/or have never bouldered outdoors. If you don’t climb but your child does, you are still welcome to join! There are always participants who don’t climb, and the trip is fun regardless. In addition to long climbing sessions every day, we will enjoy frisbee golf, kubb, card games, BBQs, swimming, sauna, and much more. Feel free to bring musical instruments or anything else fun!

Travel and Ferry

We aim to coordinate each car with 4-5 people and 1-2 crash pads.

If you have a car, the best option is to book the ferry directly using the links below and share the costs with your passengers. If you need a spot in a car or have available seats, we will help match passengers. The cost is approximately 900 SEK per person but varies depending on the number of passengers, ferry routes, and departure times.

You can travel from Stockholm, Kapellskär, or Grisslehamn to Eckerö, Mariehamn, or Långnäs. Departure times vary depending on individual schedules.

For the return journey, we recommend Finnlines 15:00 - 17:45 from Långnäs to Kapellskär, as it allows for some morning climbing, is affordable, and has a short travel time.

Accommodation

We have reserved all cabins and ample tent spaces at Hummelvik Camping, a site we have visited many times before. It is beautifully located by the sea and offers a beach, sauna, grill area, and space for activities.

• 7.5 EUR per night / tent / per person – payable on-site.

• 20 EUR per night / bed in a 3-person cabin – limited spots available. Payment must be made to the club upon confirmation of your reservation.

Age Requirements

All ages are welcome! The natural surroundings make it enjoyable for small children as well, even if they don’t climb. The club coordinates the trip but cannot take responsibility for children. Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Booking and Confirmation

If you need a seat in a car and/or a cabin spot, we will confirm available spaces from April 21 onwards. The final booking deadline is May 3.

Communication

We will invite all participants to a WhatsApp group to coordinate travel, food, climbing, and other activities.
